At Lyphe Clinic, we believe people should be able to focus on their wellbeing without unnecessary barriers – especially those who’ve served. For many veterans, life after service can come with complex, long-term health needs. Cannabis-based products for medicinal use (CBPMs) are prescription-only medicines in the UK and may be considered following a specialist clinical assessment.

Veterans are part of our team too. Two of our senior clinicians bring over 40 years’ combined military service, helping shape a care experience that is clear, respectful, and grounded in real understanding of service life and transition. Their lived experience supports a calmer, more practical approach, with a focus on dignity and discretion.

What is Lyphe for Veterans?

The Lyphe for Veterans access scheme removes clinic fees for eligible veterans living in the UK or Channel Islands. International veterans are also welcome to apply.

That means:

  • £0 initial consultation fee
  • £0 follow-up appointment fees
  • £0 repeat prescription fees

Medication costs are separate, and any treatment decision is based on specialist clinical assessment. Treatment is not guaranteed.

How the scheme works

Lyphe for Veterans is designed to reduce barriers for eligible veterans seeking specialist assessment for medicinal cannabis, with a clear, supportive process from the first step. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Enquire via the form
Share a few details via a secure form and we’ll get in touch to guide you through onboarding.

Step 2: Onboarding and medical records
We’ll request relevant medical history, including your Summary of Care Record (SCR), and proof of veteran status to confirm access to the scheme.

Step 3: Clinical assessment
A confidential video consultation with a specialist clinician, covering your symptoms, previous treatments, current medicines, goals and any relevant risks.

Step 4: Prescribing decision
The clinician will decide whether medicinal cannabis is clinically appropriate for you. If not, they will explain why and discuss other options.

Step 5: Medication (if prescribed)
If a prescription is considered appropriate, CBPMs are dispensed by a registered pharmacy in line with clinical standards, and delivered securely.

Step 6: Follow-ups
Regular reviews help us understand how the medication is working for you. We’ll discuss what’s helping, what isn’t, and adjust your treatment plan if needed.

Who can apply?

You may be eligible if you are:

  • a UK or Channel Islands resident, and
  • a veteran of HM Armed Forces (or international equivalent)

You’ll be asked to prove your veteran status to confirm access to the scheme.

Next step

We are committed to providing a dignified, accessible, and stigma-free experience. By removing the financial barrier, we hope more veterans feel able to explore other regulated options when conventional treatments haven’t provided enough relief.

If you’re a veteran (or supporting one) and would like to learn more about Lyphe for Veterans, apply below and our team will get in touch to guide you through the process.
