You are not required by law to have a Cancard, your prescription is the only document required by Police in the event of an incident.
However, many prescription patients have both a prescription and a Cancard in order to benefit from the advocacy and increased support that it brings. Despite medical cannabis being legal in the UK since 2018, patients can often face stigma and uncertainty, so Cancard can help shield and back-up your patient rights.
Cancard is available at a discounted rate of 20% off for Lyphe Clinic patients, so you only pay £23.20 the first year (normally £29) and £19 each year after.
